ORANJESTAD – Aruba marked a milestone in business financing as the first loan under the BMKB-ACS guarantee program was awarded to Vaper Trading VBA in partnership with Qredits.
Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and the Primary Sector Geoffrey Wever and Dutch State Secretary Eric van der Burg attended the presentation, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving access to financing for local entrepreneurs.
The BMKB-ACS program helps businesses with viable plans but limited collateral obtain financing by providing government-backed guarantees to participating financial institutions. Vaper Trading, established in 2021, will use the funding to expand its wholesale operations and strengthen its contribution to Aruba’s economy.
Government officials said the initiative supports entrepreneurship, job creation and economic diversification while reducing barriers for businesses seeking credit.
