Everything Brownie Café has opened its first permanent location inside Anna Catharina Mall in downtown Oranjestad, marking a new step for a homegrown business that began with home baking and pop-up markets.
From pop-up markets to a permanent café
The café was founded by former schoolteacher Noritza Perez and her husband, Rothmar Coenraad. According to Aruba Online News, Perez first developed the concept as a home-baking hobby before the couple began presenting their brownies at pop-up markets around Aruba.
The business built a following through those market appearances and repeat customers. Its new location gives the founders a permanent space where customers can sit down for brownies and coffee.

A new tenant in a historic Oranjestad property
Anna Catharina Mall is an approximately 200-year-old property in central Oranjestad. The café’s interior retains visible natural stone from the building while adding modern furniture, warm lighting and soft pink tones. An outdoor terrace sits alongside the property’s yellow exterior and traditional white shutters.
The café is near the Single One development and the Alba Quarter renovation, placing it in an area of downtown where commercial activity and work on historic properties are continuing.
A milestone for local entrepreneurship
The move from home baking to a storefront is a milestone for Perez and Coenraad. Their path also shows how Aruba’s pop-up markets can help small businesses introduce products, meet customers and test demand before taking on a permanent location.
The new café adds a locally owned food-and-beverage business to the downtown corridor and brings another active use to a historic building in Oranjestad.
