The DIMAS Aruba Permits Processing system has reached a major milestone, with nearly all applications for 2025 successfully handled by the Department of Integration, Management and Admission of Foreigners.

According to official figures, the DIMAS Aruba Permits Processing team managed a total of 26,413 admission petitions during 2025. Out of these, 97.5% have already been processed, either receiving a final decision or formal advice. Less than 3% of applications remain pending, marking a significant achievement for the department.

This high processing rate reflects ongoing efforts to improve efficiency and reduce waiting times for individuals seeking residence permits in Aruba.

Looking ahead, the DIMAS Aruba Permits Processing for 2026 is also progressing steadily. As of April 2026, 6,662 new residence permit applications have been registered. Of these, approximately 77.7% have already been processed, showing continued momentum in handling applications promptly.

Despite these improvements, DIMAS has identified several challenges affecting communication with applicants. One of the main issues involves incorrect or incomplete email addresses provided by clients. In some cases, decisions are not received because emails are sent to spam folders or because applicants rely on third-party email accounts.

To address these concerns, the DIMAS Aruba Permits Processing department has taken concrete steps to enhance service delivery. Since March 2026, two information counters have been opened where clients can receive assistance without needing an appointment.

These counters have already proven effective, with over 2,300 clients assisted in a short period. Applicants can now get updates, clarification, and support regarding their permit status more easily.

The improvements highlight DIMAS’s commitment to making the permit process more accessible and transparent for residents and newcomers. Authorities continue to encourage applicants to provide accurate contact details and regularly check their email inboxes to avoid missing important notifications.

The DIMAS Aruba Permits Processing success demonstrates the importance of efficient public services in supporting the island’s growing population and economic activity.

As Aruba continues to attract international residents and workers, maintaining a reliable and responsive permit system remains a key priority for the government.
