In celebration of the 70th anniversary of Aruba’s Coat of Arms (15 November 1955 – 15 November 2025), the Department of Culture Aruba (DCA) has created and published a series of digital educational and cultural materials dedicated to this national symbol that represents the island’s pride, unity, and identity.
Aruba’s Coat of Arms is a powerful emblem of heritage, unity, and history — a reflection of our values, identity, and progress as a people. DCA believes that understanding and appreciating national symbols strengthens cultural identity and a sense of belonging, especially among youth.
For this reason, DCA has developed educational and informative materials now available for use in schools and for the entire Aruban community.
Materials for Schools:
- One-Pager – 70 Years of Aruba’s Coat of Arms: A visually engaging, age-friendly educational sheet with essential information.
- Digital Booklet: A downloadable booklet offering an in-depth explanation of the history, symbolism, and design of Aruba’s Coat of Arms.
Materials for the Community:
- Special TV Segment on the Bentana Cultural program (Telearuba), dedicated to the anniversary of the Coat of Arms.
- Educational and Cultural Content published across DCA’s digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and local media outlets.
DCA invites all primary and secondary schools to visit their website and use these resources to spark classroom discussions and encourage national pride among students.

The Department of Culture Aruba extends its appreciation to all schools, educators, and institutions for their ongoing cooperation and commitment to inspiring and shaping Aruba’s future generations.
