ORANJESTAD (AAN): For the 11th time, the GLW Foundation is organizing its annual fundraising event, “Cupcake di Speranza” (Cupcake of Hope), with the goal of supporting those in need. In an interview with DIARIO, George Winterdaal of the GLW Foundation explained that this year’s proceeds will benefit Pasadiya Briyo di Solo, helping them realize their dream of completing their Tea House project.

The initiative encourages residents not only to purchase tea to take home, but also to sit, relax, and enjoy tea and a cupcake on-site. According to Winterdaal, Pasadiya Briyo di Solo requires a minimum of AWG 5,000 to complete the project, which is also the fundraising goal set by the GLW Foundation. To reach this target, the foundation aims to sell at least 2,000 cupcakes, covering costs and donating the remaining proceeds to the organization.

Orders can be placed by contacting Mr. Winterdaal at 561-6151 or through the GLW Foundation’s Facebook page. The minimum order is one dozen cupcakes priced at 60 florins, with no limit on the number of dozens that can be purchased.

The foundation will deliver cupcakes directly to homes or workplaces on February 13 and 14, making them ideal for Valentine’s Day and Friendship Day celebrations. Early delivery is also possible, and customers may choose to pick up their orders in person.
