Cuida Aruba is changing how its community cleanups are organized, moving from set cleanup days to dates chosen by participating businesses, schools and volunteer groups, according to NoticiaCla’s October 22 report.
Groups can arrange dates that suit them
The revised approach gives participants more flexibility in arranging their cleanup work. The report says between 20 and 30 locations have been identified for attention before the end of the year.
No neighborhood containers planned for late October
The initiative will not provide neighborhood waste containers at the end of October, NoticiaCla reported. Another round before December is under consideration, particularly for San Nicolas; the report does not confirm dates for that possibility.
The new approach also places emphasis on environmental education and community involvement. The account distinguishes volunteer participation from structural waste management, which remains a government responsibility.
