The Consulate of Colombians in Aruba has released an official announcement stating that Colombian citizens currently residing on the island will be eligible to participate in the upcoming 2026 Presidential Elections. The voting process is scheduled to take place during the week of May 25 through May 31, 2026. The specific location designated for this electoral event is the Cas di Cultura in Oranjestad. This announcement forms a crucial part of the international preparations for the Colombian presidential election, providing citizens living outside the country with the opportunity to cast their votes in various nations around the world.

Details regarding the operational schedule were confirmed in the official announcement, indicating that voting hours will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day during the specified period. The Consulate of Colombia emphasized the importance of participation with the message, “Your vote counts, your country needs you.” This statement is intended to motivate Colombian residents in Aruba to exercise their democratic rights and contribute to the election from abroad.

Furthermore, the Consulate informed the public that in addition to the voting procedures, general consular services will be attended to at the Cas di Cultura, located at Vondellaan 2. These administrative services will be available from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. However, the Consulate explicitly clarified that the processing and issuance of identification cards (cedulas) and passports will not be available during this specific period.
