ORANJESTAD (AAN) – The Aruba Olympic Committee (COA) recently met with the newly elected board of the Aruba Basketball Bond (ABB) following the federation’s latest general assembly.
ABB President Luis Tromp and Vice President Rudy Croes, both experienced former board members, discussed priorities for strengthening basketball across the island.
The meeting focused on improving both the quality and participation in the sport by attracting more athletes while also increasing the number of referees, coaches and sports administrators.
COA and ABB agreed to develop a strategic plan for the long-term growth of basketball in Aruba. The committee’s development department will work closely with the federation to create a sustainable roadmap for the sport.
COA welcomed the federation’s long-term vision and confirmed it will support the initiative through its Capacity Building Training programs and regular planning sessions.
