Boardwalk Boutique Hotel Aruba recently introduced the Treasure Map Challenge, a creative team-building initiative that allowed staff to experience the island just like their guests would. The challenge, rooted in the hotel’s signature Treasure Map guide, encouraged team members to explore Aruba’s premier dining venues, adventure tours, and wellness spots.
Each team chose a combination of dining experiences, guided excursions, and self-led explorations, including climbing Hooiberg, discovering San Nicolas street art, and visiting Arikok National Park. The initiative also partnered with renowned operators such as Tranquilo Sailing, Monforte Luxury Cruise, Aruba Wellness Therapies, and popular restaurants like Infini and Barefoot.
This hands-on experience enabled staff to deliver more authentic, tailored recommendations to guests. To share their findings, teams presented their journeys with photos and videos, creating valuable training resources for future staff. The most engaging presentation team received a two-night stay at Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort.
