ORANJESTAD (AAN): With less than two weeks before the Panama 2026 South American Youth Games, TEAMARU is preparing to represent Aruba across six different sports.
The first athlete introduced is Jeon Fernandes, a 15-year-old triathlon athlete, who will compete in the sprint distance event, which includes 750 meters swimming, 20 km cycling, and a 5 km run—half the Olympic distance.
Jeon Fernandes is a well-known figure in Aruba’s sports community, and alongside his coach Glennon Eights, he has prepared diligently for this competition.
This marks the beginning of Jeon’s journey in the Olympic cycle and his first participation in a South American Youth Games. The Aruban Olympic Committee (COA) wishes Jeon Fernandes, his coach, and his family all the best for their performance in Panama 2026.
