The Calypso & Roadmarch Infantil and Youth competitions took place Friday night at the Aruba Carnival & Entertainment Village in San Nicolas, delivering an energetic showcase of young Carnival talent.
In the Infantil Calypso category, the top title went to Ashandric Richardson, better known as “Jammer Jr.”, who was crowned Calypso King with the song “Help Me.” The song was composed by Charles Hooker and arranged by Michael Odor.
Second place in the Calypso competition was awarded to Carl Roosberg Jr., known as “Galloway Jr.”, with the song “In My Dreams,” composed by Carl Roosberg Sr. and arranged by Samuel Jack.
In the Infantil Roadmarch category, Adeliza Henriquez, also known as “Queen Fantasy,” claimed the top honor with the song “Dutch Troopers,” composed and arranged by Harvey “Toolz” Agunbero.
Second place in Roadmarch went to Zaidyen Danker, known as “Johnny Boy,” with “Johnny Boy The Instructor,” composed by Rygel Isabella and Janiro Eisden, and arranged by Rygel Isabella.
Third place was awarded to Ashandric Richardson (“Jammer Jr.”) with “Carnival Is a Party,” composed by Aric Richardson and arranged by Rygel Isabella.
Several additional awards were presented during the evening. Most Popular Singer was awarded to Ashandric Richardson, Best Costume went to Hailey Philips, Best Atmosphere was claimed by Adeliza Henriquez, and Rookie of the Year was awarded to Zaidyen Danker.
The event marked another festive highlight of Aruba’s Carnival season, celebrating the creativity, energy, and talent of the island’s young performers.
