The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) recently had the distinct pleasure of honoring two very special guests—Mr. John and Mrs. Elaina Puglisi from Manchester, New Jersey, USA—during a recognition ceremony at Costa Linda Beach Resort. The couple was awarded the prestigious Emerald Ambassador certificate, celebrating over 35 consecutive years of visiting Aruba.
This honorary title, presented on behalf of the Minister of Tourism, is part of a program designed to recognize and thank Aruba’s most loyal visitors. The A.T.A. awards three levels of distinction based on the number of years guests have vacationed on the island:
-
Distinguished Visitor – 10+ consecutive years
-
Goodwill Ambassador – 20+ consecutive years
-
Emerald Ambassador – 35+ consecutive years
Mr. Jorgino Willems of the Aruba Tourism Authority, together with staff from Costa Linda Beach Resort, presented the Puglisis with a commemorative certificate and gifts as a heartfelt token of appreciation. The ceremony highlighted the couple’s deep connection to Aruba and their long-standing commitment to the island.
When asked why they return to Aruba year after year, the Puglisis shared several reasons: the island’s safety, excellent food, great shopping, convenient supermarkets, and above all, the warmth and friendliness of its people.
On behalf of the Aruba Tourism Authority, we extend our sincerest “Masha Danki” to Mr. and Mrs. Puglisi. Your enduring love for Aruba makes you a treasured part of our One Happy Island family.
