Aruba Sees Remarkable Growth in Canadian Tourism with Over 8% Increase in 2025

Aruba is witnessing a strong rise in Canadian visitors this year, with an impressive 8.2% increase in arrivals compared to 2024. According to the Caribbean Tourism Organization, this surge ranks among the highest growth rates for any Caribbean destination, highlighting the island’s growing appeal among Canadian travelers.

In the first half of 2025, 41,754 Canadians visited Aruba, reflecting the island’s strong reputation as a reliable, sun-filled destination. The growth is driven by expanded flight services, particularly from WestJet, which has increased its Toronto–Aruba route to five weekly flights and boosted its overall capacity by 33% for 2025.

This increase in flight availability has made Aruba more accessible, allowing Canadian tourists to enjoy more flexible travel options for vacations, long weekends, and family trips. The island’s warm weather, safe environment, and world-class hospitality continue to make it a top choice for Canadians seeking a tropical escape.

Aruba’s hotel sector is also expanding to meet growing demand, with the upcoming Iberostar Aruba expected to attract even more Canadian visitors. Existing resorts are enhancing their facilities and guest services to deliver high-quality experiences.

With more flight options, new hotel developments, and ongoing improvements in tourism infrastructure, Aruba is set for a record-breaking winter travel season. The island’s steady rise in Canadian visitors reaffirms its position as one of the leading destinations in the Caribbean, offering both adventure and relaxation in a picturesque setting.
