ORANJESTAD – In a strategic move to reinforce security partnerships within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Aruba’s Minister of Justice, Arthur Dowers, welcomed Lieutenant-General Annelore Roelofs, Commander of the Koninklijke Marechaussee, for an official meeting in Oranjestad.

The meeting marks a continued effort to deepen cooperation in judicial and border security matters, particularly in areas such as human trafficking and migration control.

Following recent discussions in the Netherlands and a visit to the Royal Navy base in Savaneta, Minister Dowers reiterated the importance of joint efforts between Aruba, the Marechaussee, and RST to enhance national security.

He confirmed Aruba’s commitment to a mutually respectful and structured collaboration, focused on safeguarding the island’s borders and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
