Aruba inflation rose 0.5% in August 2026 compared with July, according to consumer-price figures reported from the Central Bureau of Statistics.
Consumer price index reaches 112.12
The consumer price index increased from 111.53 in July to 112.12 in August. Prices were 2.7% higher than in August 2025, while average inflation over the preceding 12 months was reported at 1.0%.
Eight of the 12 measured spending categories increased during the month. Transport rose 3.4%, miscellaneous goods and services increased 1.0%, and housing costs gained 0.3%.
Communication prices record a decline
Communication was the largest declining category, falling 1.8% from July. The reported figures also showed energy costs up 0.5% and food prices up 2.0%.
Core inflation, which removes selected volatile components to show the underlying trend, was reported at 1.0%.
