ORANJESTAD (AAN): A Parliament area gunshot report Aruba was received early Sunday morning while the Lighting Parade was ongoing, prompting an immediate police response.

According to police information, officers were directed to the Parliament area after reports that a gunshot had been heard. Police units quickly arrived on the scene and conducted a search of the surrounding area.

After a thorough inspection, no concrete evidence related to the reported gunshot was found. Authorities continued monitoring the area as a precaution to ensure public safety.

During the operation, police encountered Red Cross personnel who were assisting and transporting an individual who had become unwell during the Lighting Parade. Authorities confirmed that this medical situation was unrelated to the Parliament area gunshot report Aruba.
