Hospital financial concerns have been raised by MEP parliamentarian Dangui Oduber, who is asking the Aruba government for detailed information about Dr. Horacio E. Oduber Hospital.
Oduber said information reaching him suggests the hospital may be under financial pressure. He alleged that some suppliers face delayed payments and could become reluctant to continue delivering certain medicines. The parliamentarian also pointed to reported shortages of general practitioners, longer waits for some specialist services and questions about the formal completion of the hospital renovation and construction project.
