Aruba Governor Alfonso Boekhoudt met King Willem-Alexander at Paleis Huis ten Bosch in The Hague on September 17.

The meeting formed part of the King’s regular audiences with authorities from the Caribbean countries within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. According to the report, the King uses the sessions to receive updates on recent developments in the islands.

Curaçao Governor Mauritsz de Kort was received on September 16. Sint Maarten Governor Ajamu Baly also met the King on the morning of September 17.
The Aruba audience provided direct institutional contact between Governor Boekhoudt and King Willem-Alexander within the Kingdom framework.
