Aruba Dolphins Open Water brought 127 swimmers to Commandeurs Bay for four races, international participation and an inclusive kayak effort.
Four races held at Commandeurs Bay
Aruba Dolphins Open Water 2026 brought 127 participants to Commandeurs Bay in Savaneta on Sunday, September 27. The program included 1-, 3- and 5-kilometre races plus a 1.5-kilometre relay for three-swimmer teams, with competitors from Aruba, the United States and the Netherlands.
Overall winners span three distances
Xylan Anthony and Eva Kock won the men's and women's 1-kilometre classifications. Zayron Werleman and Ginayla Arends led the 3-kilometre results, while Matthew Gobert and Chloë-Nicole Dirksz recorded the top men's and women's times over 5 kilometres.
Inclusive effort joins the competition
The event also included a swimmer towing a kayak carrying an athlete with a disability so both could take part. Organized by Aruba Dolphins Swimming & Waterpolo Club, the meet also raised funds for the club and the development of its swimmers.
