ORANJESTAD, Aruba — The Club Don Bosco Summer Camp welcomed children for five days of free educational, recreational and sporting activities with support from Aruba Bank.
Stichting Club Don Bosco Noord organised the annual programme from July 15 through July 19, 2026. The camp provided participants with a positive and supervised environment focused on personal development, friendship, teamwork and enjoyment.
Five Days of Free Activities
All activities offered during the Club Don Bosco Summer Camp were provided to participating children free of charge.
The programme combined education, recreation and sport, giving children opportunities to remain active, develop new abilities and interact with others during the school holiday period.
Activities were designed to encourage cooperation and help participants build confidence while enjoying time with children from their community.
Camp Supports Children From Noord
Additional reporting about the programme indicated that approximately 40 primary-school children from the Noord area participated in the 2026 camp.
The organisation reportedly uses an informal “learning by doing” approach. Children are divided into smaller groups and encouraged to complete age-appropriate responsibilities while participating in games, challenges and recreational outings.
The programme promotes structure, friendship, discipline, hygiene, integration and respect for others.

Aruba Bank recognised Stichting Club Don Bosco Noord and the volunteers who dedicate their time to organising the annual camp.
Preparing a multi-day youth programme requires supervision, activity planning, transportation, meals, materials and logistical coordination.
Many volunteers contribute during their own holiday periods to ensure children can participate in a safe and organised programme.
Meals and Recreational Outings Included
Participants reportedly received breakfast, lunch, fruit and refreshments during the camp.
The programme also included outdoor activities and excursions supported by organisations and companies contributing to the annual initiative.
According to Club Don Bosco Noord, approximately 900 children have participated in its holiday camps over roughly two decades.
