Aruba abattoir appointments are required for owners seeking holiday-season service, according to a Veterinary Service notice reported by 24ora on October 21.
Advance booking required
The notice asks owners to arrange an appointment before bringing animals to the abattoir. It says advance coordination supports orderly service, hygiene and prevention of infectious diseases.
Appointments can be requested through the Veterinary Service at 5224310 or 5224320, or in person at Barcadera 1. Owners are asked to arrive at the agreed time; a missed slot requires a new appointment.
Reported seasonal schedule
The operational dates stated in the notice are Monday through Thursday mornings from November 9 to December 17, 2026, with reopening on January 12, 2027. Owners should confirm dates directly when booking because the source also contains an inconsistent reference to 2025.
The notice says capacity on the final service day is limited. It also states that meat is collected the same day after administrative payment, because the abattoir does not provide meat storage.
The Veterinary Service reminds owners to use the abattoir for animals intended for consumption and warns against home slaughter.
