Apelsinastraat residents are asking government departments to remove accumulated rubbish and vehicles left in public space, according to an October 15 report by English 24ora.
Residents ask for neighbourhood cleanup
The report describes complaints about roadside waste and cars that residents say have remained unattended. One resident who contacted the outlet said two of the vehicles had previously been involved in an accident.
Residents want the relevant departments to address both the rubbish and the vehicles, the outlet reported.
Road and sidewalk access raised as concerns
According to the residents’ account, some vehicles protrude into the street and reduce the room available for traffic travelling in opposite directions. Others occupy sidewalks, forcing pedestrians to step into the road.
The residents linked their cleanup request to keeping public routes accessible. The report does not announce a completed cleanup or a removal date.
