ORANJESTAD, Aruba – Allegedly Drunk Driver Hits Motorcyclist in Tanki Leendert early Saturday morning after a collision near the church in Tanki Leendert left a motorcyclist injured.
Police and ambulance personnel were dispatched following reports of a traffic accident involving injuries.
When officers arrived, they found that the driver of a Kia Rio, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol, allegedly attempted to make a left turn just as a motorcycle was passing.
The motorcycle collided with the vehicle, causing the rider to be thrown from the bike.
The motorcyclist sustained injuries as a result of the crash.
Paramedics treated the rider at the scene. However, the injured motorcyclist declined transportation to hospital for further medical care.
Police responded to the incident and documented the collision. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
