Simon Waslander and Aaron Bislip have announced a new community initiative titled “AI pa Pueblo.” The project aims to educate the public about Artificial Intelligence through a series of free lectures and workshops. The inaugural session is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Centro di Barrio Noord.
Artificial Intelligence is a branch of computer science focused on building systems capable of performing tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as learning from data, reasoning, recognizing patterns, and making decisions. The organizers note that AI is the direction in which the world is developing and is being used with increasing frequency.
During the sessions at the community centers, presenters will explain what AI is, how it operates, and how it can assist individuals in their daily lives. Additionally, the curriculum will cover the ethical use of AI. The project seeks to create greater awareness within the Aruban community regarding these technological developments.
The events are open to the entire community and offer a space for residents to connect with others who share an interest in the topic. All members of the public are invited to attend the kickoff event on June 2 at Centro di Barrio Noord.
