3 Must-Visit Beaches in Aruba: Eagle Beach, Boca Catalina & Mangel Halto

VIEWS

With so many stunning beaches in Aruba, choosing just one to visit is nearly impossible. Instead, here are three spectacular beaches, each offering a unique experience—from soft white sands to tranquil snorkeling spots and mesmerizing views.

1. Eagle Beach – Picture Perfect Paradise

Eagle Beach consistently ranks among the top beaches in the Caribbean and the world. This wide stretch of soft, white sand and clear turquoise waters offers the perfect escape for beach lovers looking to avoid large crowds. Located in front of Aruba’s low-rise hotels, it provides water sports, palapa rentals, and casual snack spots. It’s also famous for its iconic fofoti (divi) trees and seasonal sea turtle nesting.

Pro Tip: Bring a beach chair or rent one, especially on windy days when sand can blow around. Sitting closer to the trees or by the compact sand near the water can help. Stay for the unforgettable sunset—it’s one of Aruba’s finest.

2. Boca Catalina – Scenic and Serene Snorkeling Spot

Tucked between Malmok and Arashi Beach, Boca Catalina is a quiet cove with calm waters and vibrant marine life close to shore. It’s a snorkeling favorite and a peaceful location to unwind, watch sailboats, or enjoy a beach picnic. The nearby Antilla shipwreck also adds a unique view as catamarans pass by.

Pro Tip: Arrive early to claim a shady palapa. Bring your own beach chairs and a cooler with drinks and snacks. And don’t forget cash for the roaming ice cream vendor!

3. Mangel Halto – Breathtaking Blues and Mangrove Serenity

Located in Pos Chiquito on the way to San Nicolas, Mangel Halto is a hidden gem surrounded by mangroves and beloved by locals. Its calm, shallow waters are perfect for snorkeling or shore diving. Visitors can relax on the sandy patches, docks, or unique stair-accessed nooks with panoramic ocean views in mesmerizing shades of blue.

Pro Tip: Visit on a weekday to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Pack a cooler and, for a perfect end to your beach day, head to nearby Zeerovers in Savaneta for fresh seafood and cold drinks by the water.
