Amsterdam Manor Drives Sustainability with Monthly Beach Clean-Ups in Aruba
8
VIEWS

At Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort, sustainability is more than a policy—it’s a community-driven mission. Through its Environmental, Energy, and Social Sustainability Policy, the resort actively preserves Aruba’s natural beauty with recurring beach clean-ups that unite staff, guests, and local partners.

Each month, Amsterdam Manor hosts hands-on clean-up events, providing volunteers with eco-tools and a light breakfast to start the day. These initiatives do more than clear litter—they educate participants about responsible tourism and sustainable living through sorting and safe disposal of collected waste.

This year’s Earth Day clean-up held at the Sasarawichi Dunes saw collaboration with the Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association (AHATA), Aruba Cleaning House (ACH), and resorts like Bucuti & Tara. Thirty volunteers came together for the special event, emphasizing the power of teamwork in environmental preservation.

While the Earth Day waste total wasn’t weighed, the resort proudly reports 159.77 kg of trash removed from Aruba’s beaches and dunes so far this year.

Amsterdam Manor’s impact goes beyond Earth Day. With monthly clean-ups, the resort is building long-term environmental stewardship, fostering connections among volunteers, and encouraging guests to leave a positive footprint on the island.

Whether you’re a local or a visitor, you’re invited to join the next clean-up and be part of a cleaner, greener Aruba.
