This summer, culinary excellence meets elegant ambiance as Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort prepares to open Terra by Jeremy Ford. This innovative restaurant will be led by Chef Jeremy Ford of Miami’s Stubborn Seed, who has earned the prestigious Michelin Star and recently received the Michelin Green Star for sustainability.

This recent achievement means Ford brings to Aruba the quality and prestige of one of the world’s most respected and rare culinary combinations—making this a first for the island and the Caribbean region.

With a dedicated focus on hospitality excellence and strong sustainability principles, Ford chose Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort—the internationally renowned hotel ranked Tripadvisor’s No. 1 Best Hotel in the Caribbean, No. 5 Best Hotel in the World, and the first and only carbon-neutral certified hotel in the Caribbean—for this new culinary experience. Together, they refine what it means to dine well with purpose and pleasure.

“While we eagerly anticipate the historic launch of Terra by Jeremy Ford, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Chef Ford and his team on the prestigious Michelin Green Star award—one of the highest honors for sustainable gastronomy. Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, known as the world’s most sustainable hotel, is proud to welcome guests to a culinary experience that elevates their well-being and pleasure while honoring our deep commitment to the planet,” said Crescenzia Biemans, Chief Corporate Officer of Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort.

Chef Ford, winner of Bravo TV’s Top Chef Season 13, is a renowned culinary figure behind a collection of popular dining destinations including Miami, Las Vegas, and the Florida Keys. His Miami restaurant, distinguished by a Michelin Star and James Beard Foundation nomination, recently ascended to an elite level with the Michelin Green Star—a top honor recognizing culinary sustainability.

Few chefs or establishments worldwide hold both distinctions. Ford’s detailed focus on sustainability—from responsible sourcing, efficient waste management, low-energy operations, to community cooperation—will define the dining experience at Terra by Jeremy Ford.

The restaurant promises a gastronomic journey rooted in responsibility and connection: a destination for both resort guests and locals, offering an experience that transcends traditional luxury dining by emphasizing flavor, origin, and sustainability. The menu will showcase Aruba’s rich bounty and regional ingredients through seasonal dishes, sustainable techniques, and produce from Ford’s organic farm in Homestead, Florida. This initiative allows Chef Ford to grow vibrant vegetables and aromatic herbs of superior quality, creating a direct link between farm and table with every dish.

What truly makes Terra unique is that it is developed with the island, for the island. It’s not an imported concept but a unique culinary vision created in collaboration with local chefs, farmers, fishermen, and artists. Chef Ford is partnering with Maurice and Karim Neme, third-generation pioneers of Aruban hospitality, whose family history has shaped Aruba’s tourism identity over decades. Their deep community ties ensure Terra will honor Aruba’s culture, ingredients, and environment.

Guests can expect an unparalleled culinary experience where elevated gastronomic techniques, sustainable sourcing, and the island’s natural beauty unite in perfect harmony. Terra by Jeremy Ford aspires to become a Caribbean culinary landmark—born from a shared heritage of excellence and sustainability, realized at the legendary Bucuti & Tara Resort, which has redefined eco-luxury worldwide.
