Aruba passenger screening rules taking effect November 1, 2026, require carriers to transmit traveller information in advance and allow authorities to decide on boarding permission, 24ora reports.
Advance information through electronic system
The outlet says the regulation was published in Aruba’s official gazette on October 26. Airlines and maritime carriers must use the Passenger Data Single Window to submit the required information. The rules apply regardless of nationality, including travellers from other parts of the Dutch Kingdom.
Human review and privacy safeguards described
According to the report, authorities may refuse boarding permission but must give reasons. A technical failure to return a response is not automatically a refusal. Reservation data may be retained for up to five years, with direct identifiers masked after six months, subject to the stated legal exceptions. Significant decisions must allow human evaluation and correction.
