An Alto Vista brush fire in the yard of a house brought police and firefighters to the scene on Wednesday afternoon, October 14, according to AWE24.
Initial house-fire report clarified
AWE24 reported that the initial call described a house fire. When police arrived, they found burning vegetation in the yard rather than a house on fire.
Police used a hose before firefighters arrived
Police began spraying the fire with a hose. The report said it was almost extinguished by the time firefighters arrived; firefighters then applied additional water.
