Aruba Bank has appointed Ramon Mas as managing director, with the new role taking effect on November 1, 2026. Mas currently leads Corporate & Platinum Banking and know-your-customer operations at the bank.
The appointment places an executive with more than 25 years of banking experience in the senior leadership role. His background includes corporate and personal banking, credit risk, regulation and executive management.
Ramon Mas brings international and local experience
Before joining Aruba Bank in 2013, Mas worked in Spain and Belgium with mid-sized and multinational corporate clients. His responsibilities included cash management, trade finance, relationship management and leading teams involved in cross-border banking.
During more than a decade with Aruba Bank, he has held several key positions. The bank said his work has supported its corporate banking activities, the quality of its credit portfolio and long-term relationships with Aruba’s business community.
New role includes strategy and innovation
As managing director, Mas will work with the other board members on the bank’s strategic priorities and innovation. Aruba Bank said the work will maintain a focus on clients, employees and the island’s economic development.
Mas said Aruba has been his home for many years and described the bank and its clients as an important part of that connection. He said his priorities include staying close to clients, applying sound judgment and supporting Aruba’s long-term wellbeing. The bank’s Supervisory Board and management congratulated him on the appointment.
