Eagle Beach sargassum exposure is generally lower than at many other Caribbean shores, according to a list reported by FOX Weather.
Eagle Beach appears on lower-risk list
The Aruba beach was included among 10 Caribbean beaches described as generally less affected by heavy sargassum accumulation, particularly during the season that normally runs from March through October.
The report attributed that relative advantage to Eagle Beach’s position on Aruba’s western, leeward coast, which offers more protection than shores exposed to prevailing currents and winds.
Conditions can still change
A lower general risk does not mean the beach never receives sargassum. Currents, winds and changing sea conditions can still bring seaweed ashore, so conditions may vary from day to day.
