ORANJESTAD, Aruba — Conflicting Aruba driver’s license information on government websites is giving residents different expectations about how long renewals take.
Government portal lists a multi-week wait
NoticiaCla reported that a general government portal still tells residents to expect a three- to four-week wait after applying to renew a driver’s license.
The Civil Registry and Census Office, known as Censo, currently states that a renewed license is delivered on the same day, according to the report.
Conflicting guidance remains online
The difference matters for residents planning appointments and collecting documents. NoticiaCla said it had learned that the outdated information had been flagged in previous years but remained available at the time of its review.
