A woman was taken to hospital after she was struck with the handle of a firearm during a Koningstraat fight on Saturday night.
Emergency crews respond to reported fight
Police and ambulance personnel were sent to Koningstraat after authorities received a report of a serious altercation involving an injured woman, according to AWE24.
The report said the dispute involved men and that the woman was injured after intervening. She was reportedly struck on the head with the handle of a firearm.
Police detain people at the scene
Officers detained the people who remained at the location. AWE24 reported that the person accused of striking the woman had left before police arrived.
Paramedics treated the woman and transported her to hospital. No further details about her condition or any charges were immediately reported.
