Aruba’s Bureau City Inspector has cleared a Tarabana visibility hazard near Cayena Mall after motorists reported that overgrown branches were blocking their view.
BCI inspected the location and confirmed that the vegetation created a danger for drivers traveling from Tarabana Weg toward Caya Betico Croes, according to 24ora.
Branches extended beyond private property
The trees are located at a private residence, but branches had grown beyond the property’s fence and into motorists’ line of sight. The obstruction was especially concerning for drivers approaching the main road from Tarabana Weg.
Residents raised the concern earlier this week and asked for the branches to be trimmed before the reduced visibility contributed to a collision. No crash was reported in connection with the obstruction.
Crew trims vegetation and cleans roadside
A crew arrived Thursday morning and cut back the branches that were blocking the view. Workers also removed trash that had accumulated along the roadside.
