Aruba Ports Authority N.V. has marked its 45th anniversary, recognizing more than four decades of work supporting the island’s port operations, trade and international connections.
Port authority milestone
Parliamentarian Jennifer Arends-Reyes attended the anniversary celebration and highlighted the authority’s role in managing and developing Aruba’s port facilities. Those facilities support transportation, commerce and the supply chain on which the island depends.
Arends-Reyes congratulated the organization’s board, employees, partners and former staff members for their contributions over the past 45 years. She said the milestone reflects long-term cooperation, commitment and professional development.
Focus on a modern and sustainable port sector
The parliamentarian also called for continued investment in a modern, efficient and sustainable port sector that can respond to international developments. She said future planning should create opportunities for local professionals while maintaining Aruba’s strategic connection with the wider world.
The anniversary recognizes Aruba Ports Authority’s institutional history and its continuing role in the island’s economic and transport infrastructure.
