ORANJESTAD, Aruba – Kiwanis Club of Aruba Honors Supporter Aruba Vision Center for its longstanding contribution to the Bon Bista Project, an initiative focused on helping children receive access to eye care and better vision.

The recognition took place recently during a General Meeting of Kiwanis Club of Aruba, where former president Tessely Ranis-Koolman honored one of the organization’s longtime supporters involved with the Bon Bista Project.

For many years, Aruba Vision Center has played an important role in supporting the Kiwanis program dedicated to children’s eye care.

According to the organization, the partnership has helped make sure younger members of the community have opportunities to receive the vision support they need so they can see clearly and continue moving forward in school and daily life.

During the meeting, guest Greg Johnson was pleasantly surprised with a gesture of appreciation recognizing the generous support provided by Aruba Vision Center and its continued commitment to children’s vision care.

The Kiwanis Club of Aruba Honors Supporter recognition was intended to highlight the value of long-term community partnerships and the difference that sustained support can make in programs focused on children.

The Bon Bista Project reflects Kiwanis Club of Aruba’s broader commitment to helping young people through practical community initiatives.

Good vision is particularly important for children because eyesight can affect reading, classroom participation and everyday development. Supporting access to eye care can therefore help children participate more fully in educational and social activities.

The original report does not provide details about the number of children who have benefited from the Bon Bista Project or the specific services provided through Aruba Vision Center.

However, Kiwanis described the company as a driving force behind the program for many years, emphasizing the significance of its continued contribution.

The recognition also served as an opportunity for Kiwanis Club of Aruba to publicly thank Aruba Vision Center for helping the organization create positive change in the community.

Community service organizations often depend on partnerships with local businesses and professionals to continue offering programs that require specialized services, equipment or financial support.

In this case, the collaboration between Kiwanis and Aruba Vision Center has remained focused on children’s eye care.

The Kiwanis Club of Aruba Honors Supporter moment also highlighted the people behind that cooperation, with Greg Johnson receiving recognition on behalf of the longtime supporter.

Kiwanis expressed its appreciation for the organization’s generosity and ongoing dedication to improving children’s vision.

The group described its goal as making a difference “one child at a time,” reflecting the individual impact that community-based programs can have.

For Kiwanis Club of Aruba, honoring longtime supporters also helps recognize the relationships that allow its projects to continue over many years.

The Bon Bista Project is one example of how those partnerships can connect local organizations with children and families who may benefit from additional support.

Kiwanis Club of Aruba concluded the recognition by thanking Aruba Vision Center for its continued commitment to the project and its role in supporting better vision care for younger generations across Aruba.
