ORANJESTAD (AAN) – FCCA Urges Aruba Residents to Donate Usable Household Items as part of the National Day to Care for Aruba on July 25, encouraging the community to donate furniture and other usable items to families in need instead of discarding them.
Shahyra Loefstok of FCCA outlined the organization’s participation in the nationwide initiative organized by the Government of Aruba, calling on residents, especially FCCA clients, to support the campaign.
Loefstok encouraged people to consider donating furniture and household items that remain in good condition rather than selling or throwing them away.
She urged residents to inspect items before disposing of them and to think about whether they could still be useful to someone else in the community.
According to Loefstok, second-hand furniture and household goods can still provide significant value to individuals and families who need them.
“This is a wonderful initiative, and we encourage every resident to participate in this campaign,” Loefstok said.
Collection points will be available at various locations across Aruba during the event, where residents can drop off donated items.
FCCA said details about the collection locations will be published through its social media channels, as well as distributed via its WhatsApp broadcast list and Facebook page.
By promoting the reuse of furniture and household goods, FCCA hopes to reduce unnecessary waste while helping families who can benefit from items that are still in good, usable condition.
