ORANJESTAD, Aruba — The Jennyfer Geerman Graduation marks her successful completion of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organization, Governance and Management at the University of Aruba.
Geerman successfully defended her thesis on July 10, 2026, completing the Organization, Governance and Management programme within the Faculty of Arts and Science.
Research Examines Performance Management
Geerman’s thesis was titled “The Perception of the Department of Public Health Employees on Performance Management Goal Setting and Organizational Effectiveness.”
Her research examined how employees of Aruba’s Department of Public Health perceive performance management, organizational goal setting and workplace effectiveness.
The study focused on how employees understand performance expectations and whether clearly established goals can contribute to improved organizational outcomes.
Performance management can help organizations evaluate employee progress, identify areas for improvement and align individual responsibilities with broader institutional objectives.
Through her research, Geerman explored employee perspectives on these practices within Aruba’s public health sector.
Graduation Committee
The graduation committee consisted of Judelca Briceño, MSc; Jacques van der Scheer, drs.; and Dr. Esther Vermeulen of the Aruba Department of Public Health.
The committee evaluated Geerman’s research and thesis defence before awarding her the Bachelor of Arts degree.
Following the successful Jennyfer Geerman Graduation, she expressed gratitude to the lecturers in the Organization, Governance and Management department.
She also thanked the professionals who supported and guided her throughout her studies.
Geerman extended her appreciation to everyone inside and outside the University of Aruba who contributed to her academic achievement.
