ORANJESTAD (AAN) – ELMAR Graduates First Klik y Siña Digital Skills Class, celebrating the successful completion of its first digital literacy workshop designed to help older adults develop essential technology skills.
On July 4, N.V. ELMAR recognized the first group of participants from Playa who completed the Klik y Siña workshop, an initiative aimed at empowering senior citizens with practical digital knowledge.
Over the course of five weeks, participants from Oranjestad and Dakota learned how to use a computer, browse the internet, make online payments, and navigate ELMAR’s digital customer services, including the e-Connect and e-Billing platforms.
The workshop was led by Jacqueline Woodley, who guided participants through the training program and helped them build the confidence needed to use digital technology in their daily lives.
ELMAR expressed its appreciation to Woodley for her dedication and also thanked the Dakota Community Center for providing the facilities that made the program possible.
According to ELMAR, the Klik y Siña workshop is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to creating learning opportunities for older adults, enabling them to stay connected and confidently participate in an increasingly digital world.
The utility company said the initiative reflects its belief that digital learning has no age limit and encourages lifelong learning throughout the Aruba community.
