ORANJESTAD – A driver was injured Friday afternoon after a Kia crossed into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a water delivery truck near NG Supermarket in Kamay.
According to police, the water truck driver attempted to avoid the collision by swerving left, narrowly missing a parked Coca-Cola truck before the vehicles crashed. The impact left the Kia driver trapped inside the vehicle.
Police, ambulance crews, and the Fire Department’s rescue team responded to the scene. Firefighters worked to free the injured driver, who was treated by paramedics before being transported to the hospital.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
