ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Aruba swimmer Elisabeth Timmer delivered an outstanding performance in Amsterdam, setting three new national records during the Dutch Sprint Championships (NK Sprint) and the Speedo Fast Water Meet.
Representing Stingray Swimming Team and Aruba, Timmer broke the national records in the 50m Freestyle (25.06), 50m Butterfly (26.58) and 100m Butterfly (1:01.07) in the 25-meter pool.
She also captured a bronze medal in the 50m Butterfly at the NK Sprint and another bronze medal in the 100m Butterfly at the Speedo Fast Water Meet.
As part of her relay team, Timmer added two gold medals and two silver medals to an already successful weekend.
Stingray Swimming Team praised her achievements, describing them as the result of years of dedication, discipline and hard work. Timmer is now preparing for the upcoming CAC Championships, where she will represent Aruba.
