ORANJESTAD, Aruba – Pedestrian Injured in Tanki Flip Road Crossing Accident on Saturday evening after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the road north of the Tanki Flip roundabout.
Police and ambulance personnel responded to reports of a traffic accident involving injuries shortly after the incident occurred.
According to the preliminary investigation, an elderly man had just left a nearby location and attempted to cross the roadway as an approaching vehicle was traveling through the area. The vehicle was unable to avoid the pedestrian, resulting in a collision that knocked him onto the road.
The impact left the man with minor injuries. Paramedics treated him at the scene before transporting him to the hospital for further medical evaluation.
Police documented the incident and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to remain alert and exercise caution, particularly when crossing busy roadways.
