ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Taekwondo Team Aruba captured five medals at the Sunshine State Games in Wesley Chapel, located in Florida’s Tampa Bay region, as part of its preparations for the 2026–2027 competition season.
The Aruban delegation competed with four cadet athletes in the -37 kg, -41 kg, -49 kg, -51 kg and -53 kg weight categories.
Head coach Master Alberto Klaber expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance after the athletes earned two gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal during the tournament.
Taekwondo Team Aruba thanked the people of Aruba for their support and contributions, which helped make the team’s participation in the Sunshine State Games possible.
The successful performance marks another positive step in the team’s preparations for upcoming international competitions.
