ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Red Cross Aruba is encouraging the public to support humanitarian relief efforts in Venezuela by making financial donations through a dedicated bank account following the devastating earthquakes that struck the country on June 24.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has launched an Emergency Appeal to assist 300,000 people affected by the disaster over the coming months.
Donations will help provide emergency medical care, temporary shelter, clean drinking water, hygiene supplies, essential relief items, psychosocial support, and protection for the hardest-hit communities.
Red Cross Aruba said financial contributions are the current priority, as it is still too early to organize collections of clothing, food, or other physical donations. If additional material assistance becomes necessary, the organization will inform the public.
Residents wishing to contribute can donate through Aruba Bank account 0384010990 under the name “Red Cross Aruba–Venezuela Relief Fund.”
The organization emphasized that every donation helps support those affected by the disaster.
