ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Aruba’s Department of Labor and Research (DAO) has announced important changes to the locations of several of its divisions as part of an effort to modernize services and improve accessibility for workers and employers.

Beginning July 6, 2026, the Management, Administration, Operations, and Research divisions will temporarily operate from the Department of Labor Development (DPL) building at Engelandstraat 33 in Oranjestad. The department can be reached by phone at 521-5555 or by email at directiearbeid@aruba.gov.aw.

Since May 1, 2026, the Conflict and Retirement Section has been operating through the pilot Legal Labor Store (Tienda Legal Laboral), which focuses on labor advice and conflict prevention. Services are currently available at MFA Savaneta and MFA Paradera to better serve residents in different districts.

The Labor Inspection Section also relocated on June 1, 2026. However, DAO noted that this division is not open to the general public. Employment-related complaints and inspection matters should be directed through DAO’s official communication channels or the Legal Labor Store.

DAO encourages workers and employers seeking assistance with labor laws to visit the Legal Labor Store locations in Savaneta and Paradera for information and support.
