ORANJESTAD (AAN): On Tuesday morning, Prime Minister Mike Eman participated in another successful edition of the Neighborhood Action in Caya Bonaire and surrounding Village areas.
Together with representatives from Serlimar, City Inspector, DVG, KPA, GKMB, DOW, Social Affairs, Luna Foundation, and FCCA, the Prime Minister visited multiple neighborhood points to hear residents’ concerns, suggestions, and needs.
During the visits, many residents expressed appreciation for the government’s direct presence. Positive responses were evident as residents stepped out to help clean and improve their surroundings following discussions with PM Eman.
One notable stop was at the home of Michael Clark, a well-known community contributor, recognized for his dedication to maintaining and cleaning the neighborhood. PM Eman highlighted the value of citizens like Clark, emphasizing that community development relies on both government and active residents.
The Prime Minister also shared updates on projects in San Nicolas, including a mural honoring Julio Bernardo Euson and the official recognition of the Shete Dia Seventh-day Adventist Church building as a monument. Restoration and revitalization works on Bernhardstraat will focus on enhancing visual appeal and preserving historical and cultural heritage.
Additionally, PM Eman visited renovation projects at 141 houses in Village, executed by the Government of Aruba and FCCA, directly improving living conditions and housing quality. He also reminded the community about the recently opened permanent Waste Zone in Barcadera, part of broader efforts to modernize waste management.
PM Eman concluded the event by thanking all residents, volunteers, and organizations for their time, energy, and commitment. “Together, we can continue building cleaner, safer, and more organized neighborhoods, where quality of life and community pride are central,” he said.
