A detainee at the Shaba police station sustained a severe injury to his right hand during an attempted escape on Saturday morning. Officers at the station discovered the individual trying to flee from his cell, resulting in the injury.
Police requested an ambulance to attend to the scene. Upon arrival, medical personnel attended to the detainee, and it was decided that police officers would transport him to the hospital for further treatment.
