ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Emergency responders rushed to Weg Sero Blanco early Friday morning after a vehicle overturned and trapped a woman inside the car.
Police, ambulance personnel, and firefighters responded to the accident after reports indicated the driver might be trapped inside the vehicle.
Authorities stated that the female driver of a Suzuki Swift reportedly lost control while approaching a curve, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway, strike a rock, and overturn onto its side.
Because the woman was unable to exit the vehicle on her own, police officers assisted her in safely leaving the overturned car.
Paramedics examined the driver at the scene, but officials confirmed she did not require advanced medical treatment or transportation to the hospital.
Firefighters also secured the vehicle to prevent any possible fire hazards following the accident.
The incident caused temporary concern in the area while emergency crews worked to secure the scene and assist the driver.
