DEN HAAG (AAN) – Prime Minister Mike Eman recently met with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten in The Hague to strengthen the ongoing dialogue regarding strategic topics for Aruba and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed various projects being developed jointly, including progress on the topic of EU preclearance and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wageningen University & Research (WUR). According to Prime Minister Eman, this cooperation opens doors for innovation and economic development.
“We deliberated today regarding different follow-ups of several developments that we built together with Aruba. The topic of EU preclearance and the cooperation with WUR offer many opportunities for the future of our island,” Prime Minister Eman stated.
Discussions also focused on the upcoming Kingdom Conference, where the countries of the Kingdom will meet to discuss common interests. Eman noted that the meeting was characterized by mutual respect and cordiality.
“The warm reception here at the office of Prime Minister Jetten was with a sense of cordiality and mutual respect, which we appreciate enormously. We continue to give shape to the words and visions for the future of the Kingdom,” Eman commented.
Highlighting the current global turbulence, the Prime Minister emphasized that stability within the Kingdom is of essential importance.
