ORANJESTAD (AAN) – Marea Restaurant, located at Joia Aruba by Iberostar, has launched a new culinary initiative called “Executive Lunch Week.” The concept focuses on local gastronomy and comfort food, featuring a Caribbean fusion menu with ingredients sourced from Aruba. The dining experience is available Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Offered at a fixed price of $35, the lunch includes a soup or salad and a main course. Executive Chef Ludwich Samson noted that the program was originally designed for hotel executives but has expanded to become accessible to the wider community. “We started with the thought for our own executives to come enjoy a lunch at a good price. Little by little we expanded this to make it an executive lunch for all the executives in Aruba and basically for everyone to enjoy it,” Samson explained.
To ensure variety, the menu changes daily and is completely reset every week. Samson stated that this strategy is intended to encourage repeat visits. “The idea is to keep variation and avoid repeating the same things many times, so we can have repeat clients and keep the concept fresh,” he said.
The menu highlights the restaurant’s Caribbean Latin fusion philosophy and Iberostar’s commitment to the local market. Samson emphasized the use of products from local farmers and markets, including yogurt, mozzarella, burrata, artisanal pasta, and mushrooms cultivated by Farmacure.
